....I think Rip would have this undetermined power that envelopes the entire planet of Acmetropolis, so he can tap into the planet's powers and use them to do stuff like destroy other planets, create a barrier, and read & speak ancient texts that can never be learned by any living creature thus tapping in to the truths and lies of the Cosmos and uncovering something that was never meant to be known.

I don't think so. His depression was caused by parental neglect and constant put-downs by his father. After he redeemed himself, he sorta' seemed all together much happy. I'm gonna' say no. 83
