... Well,it's not like it happened out of nowhere. She did have cancer, and had been in of the hospital for a while now. She had been feeling better about a week ago, but then she got worse a few days ago. She got a high fever that destroyed some of her brain tissue. We moved her to one of her (grown) children's homes, but she couldn't really talk, and couldn't really tell what people were talking to her about, she just knew someone was talking. She died today.
I didn't really know Aunt Darlene very well. I did know her, but we weren't close. She was pretty close to my dad though; she was his older sister, and always took care of him when he was a kid. Everyone in my family is going to miss her, but I know she's going to be a lot happier up there.
So...I might be randomly missing for a while, but I'll be back regularly before too long. I'm posting this memorial on LUY, I'll post memorials on DA and facebook, I'll make a tribute video eventually.
Let this journal, and all other tributes that may come to stand, keep the memory of my Aunt Darlene.
