Lexi Bunny looked up and squinted from the sunlight reflection from the huge tower that stood in front of her."Is this the right place?"She asked her self as she examined the tower."Is this the right place?"She asked and she reexamined the business card she "mysteriously" acquired a few days ago.All it said was: "Come if you want an explanation."And it had an address on it.She sighed and pushed the front door as she walked inside.
Lexi tapped her foot as the elevator sped story after story upward the tower reaching the top.Lexi didn't know what was happening, she was a sophomore in college, and she has a very wealthy family, a ton of friends.It didn't seem like there was nothing wrong with her even after the meteor hit.Its shockwave only gave her get a few bumps and bruises, which was topped by a terrible headache that lasted a week."Maybe this is some sort of convention or something."She thought to herself, just as the door suddenly opened."I just hope it has nothing to do with that firkin meteor everyone's talking about.That's the last thing I want to hear."
When she approached the lobby she looked around to examine the quarters she was occupying.It was bright and roomy, and had a perfect view of the rest of the city.There was a large couch in the middle of the room and a weird machine in front of it.She looked around again.It was empty, not a single sign of life seemed to be present in the room other than Lexi “Hello?"She said loudly."Is anyone here?"No answer.She fell back on the couch and put her hands behind her head."Great."She muttered to herself."I wonder if I'm the only one who's gonna show up-"
At that moment, the door to the elevator opened and Lexi shot up to see who was entering the room.It was another bunny, grey fur and long pointed ears, arguing with a black feathered duck about something.They were both wearing the same jerseys, so it was safe to assume they went the same college together."I'm telling you, rabbit."The duck said sharply."If it wasn't for the fact that you are the captain of the football team, I would be in second base with Kylie right now." The rabbit gave a soft chuckle and lightly pushed at the duck's chest."Yeah, too bad she doesn’t like "duck meat."He said with a grin.The duck suddenly turned red in anger and got face-to-face with the rabbit, grinding his teeth. "WHY YOU! Now listen here, rabbit.You nave no right to play smartass with me!I'm-"
"Ahem."
The two suddenly turned and noticed Lexi for the first time.The rabbit blushed and tried to straighten himself up, but the duck simply marched up and pointed to Lexi."Ok sister."He said to the bunny, putting a card to her face.It was the same card Lexi got earlier."Are you the one who’s running this joint?" This infuriated Lexi. She suddenly shoved the duck out of her way and put her card to his face. "No you idiot, I got the same card as you!"The duck got up and was about to give her a piece of her mind when the rabbit stopped her."Take it easy, Duck.She's probably knows as much as we do."The rabbit approached Lexi and stuck his hand out, grinning wildly."Hi there! The name's Ace."Lexi shook hands with the rabbit and he chuckled lightly.He pointed his thumb at the duck, who was examining the room they were in."That over there is Duck-"
"Danger Duck!"The mallard interrupted from the kitchen.
"Danger Duck."Ace contained."Don't mind him; he was born with a stick in his keister."He walked over and leaned on the edge of the couch, his focus still on Lexi."So." He said."Tell me about yourself."
The two bunnies spent a full hour talking about their past and how they were doing at the colleges they attended to, with Duck constantly cutting in saying facts about himself that nether Lexi nor Ace wanted to hear. As he was about to make a long speech about his girlfriend Mairi, a blue blur suddenly sped past him, making him fall over. As the mallard recollected himself from the floor, the blur sped past him again, making Duck fall over again. Finally, the blur sped around the main lobby a few times before finally stopping, revealing the blur to be a roadrunner. He looked around the area before suddenly appearing before Lexi and Ace, his eyes gleaming like a pair of stars.
Lexi tilted her head in confusion, not understanding anything that the roadrunner said. "Wha?” She asked. However, before she was able to hear a response a large, figure broke through the door, heading straight to the kitchen. He was a Tasmanian devil and had chocolate brown fur. He was massive, and seemed to wear a wrestling uniform. "Um...who is "that"?” Duck stammered. Rev responded almost instantly in a cheery, fast-paced tone. "Yes-he's-Slam-Tasmanian. The-three-of-us-came-here-for-the-same-reason-you-guys-probabily-are-here-for.” Ace suddenly looked from Rev to the furry titan who was ripping through the kitchen and gulped. Duck decided followed the monster into the kitchen to make sure he did not do any damage. "T-three?” Ace stuttered. Rev nodded. Yes, Slam, Me, and-the-coyote."
"Coyote?"
"Yes, he's-right...” Rev quickly looked around the room, as if he was looking for someone, and then he noticed something move near the hole Slam made when he walked through the wall.
"It's-all-right.” Rev said calmly. "They won't hurt you."
Ace gave a nervous grunt. "Oh please God, don't make him crazy.” He muttered silently to himself as a figure walked into the room. He was a coyote, with fur that was, brown like Slam's, with the exception of a lighter-colored muzzle. His eye's seemed vacant, and he was incredibly thin, wearing nothing but a pair of worn jeans and a college sweater, which had the words "Acme Tech University" stitched on it. He walked slowly out of the hole in the wall, past the others, and sat on the couch, not uttering a single word. Lexi and Ace stood still, watching the coyote sit there for a minute or two until a large clattering sound from the kitchen caught their attention, followed by a high-pitched scream from Duck. "That's-probably-Slam.” Rev muttered quickly. "I'll-go check-on-him.” The roadrunner disappeared in a blur and reappeared in the kitchen. Ace looked from the kitchen to Lexi to the coyote and decided to join Rev in the kitchen.
An hour later, Slam calmed down and was taking a nap. Lexi sighed and walked over to the couch. She sat down and reached for the remote that rested on the couch's arm and turned the visual screen on. After several minutes of channel flipping, she found a good action-flick movie and kept it there.
Duck joined Lexi on the couch a few minutes later. "Ooh, this movie is a good one.” He said cheerfully. "And to think I thought you only liked those girly movies.” Lexi made a light sarcastic laugh, and resumed watching the movie. A few minutes later, Duck turned and noticed the coyote sitting at the other end of the couch, staring at his feet. He popped Lexi hard on the shoulder. "What was that for?” She snapped, turning her head sharply at the avian. Duck pointed to the coyote. "Who's he?” He asked. Lexi sighed. "We don’t know. He came here with Slam and Rev.” The bunny replied. "He has not said a single word, no one even knows his name, not even Rev.” Duck sighed, got up, and approached the coyote.
"Hey." Duck said, trying to make the coyote talk.
No response.
Duck sighed. "Hola, mi habla Espanola?
"SI!" Cried Rev from the kitchen.
Duck groaned, trying to ignore the roadrunner. He reached forward and shook the coyote's shoulder. "Hey, are you alive in there?
Suddenly, the coyote flinched and turned his head at duck, which retracted his hand when he felt the coyote move. Lexi noticed the coyote's movement and turned towards him. The coyote tensed up, looking at Duck first, and then changing his view to Lexi, he moved quickly to the circle table that was nearby the couch and sat in one of the chairs. There, he looked around before returning to his trance, staring at the table and his hands, which rested on it.
