Well I'm not that sure if this topic should really go in this thread but I think it is. Anyways any siblings?

I think most of you know I have no siblings. But now I do. A STEP sister and a STEP brother. I'll just call them my sister and brother.

Well my sister is just 2 years older than me. So she's a freshman in College. And my brother is just a year younger than me. So he's 2nd year.

That's all I can say right now. Share some of yours.

Three older brothers.

A younger sister.

Three step sisters.

And a half sister. 83

My brothers are Matthew (25 and currently in the process of becoming a father), Timothy (21 and engaged to Carolyn whom I based a lot of Mairi off. 83) and Benjamin (20 and having trouble getting himself a girl. D8)

My sister is Amanda, and she is turning 17 in December. 83

My step sisters are Allysha (17, just had a baby. :O), Jeleah (15 and turning into a brat. DX) and Nikkita (11 and completely neglected by her mother. )B )

And my half sister is Jenna. She turns 6 in four days. 8D

...

We don't all live in the same house, btw. XDDD

Wow. You've got a big family.

What's the difference with step-sister/brother and half-sister/brother? I seriously don't get it I've always thought they were just the same.

Wow, Emily DOES have a huge family.

Also: step-sisters/brothers are only related to you by the marriage of one of your blood parents and one of their blood parents. Half-sisters/brothers have one blood parent in common with you, like you have the same mom but different dads.
They're still pretty similar though.

They are incredibly different.

Step siblings have usually been exposed to a completely different upbringing, whereas because a half sibling belongs to a parent you yourself would have grown up with, they're kind of raised in a similar way.

My half sister belongs to my biological mother and her husband (my step father).

My step sisters were born a woman called Kelly (my step mother) and a man called Richard.

My half sister is being raised with the same rules, values and beliefs that I myself grew up with.

My step sisters had a completely different childhood than me, with two parents who had different parenting techniques to mine.

Although this all depends on how early/later you and your step family come together.
