I think Ace's parents WOULD have died. At a particulary young age as well. Say 10-13 years old. I also believe his father or mother would've been a washed up stage actor or actress, hence why he wanted to become an actor. To fulfill his parents original goals.

I always thought they died while he was young, and he was sent to live with his grandfather who taught him martial arts and stuff, but then he died and Ace was sent to live with an uncle who forced him to get into acting. 83
