Dakkarsis tapped his bone finger against the monitor impatiently. "...I need a book."

He turned to Maria instantly.
"Damn it... You weren't using your powers again, were you??" With that he hit a button on the control panel and leaned in. "Eckehardt. How much longer?"
"Fifteen minutes."
"Let's shorten that to five."
"Ve can make it ten..."
The lich made a noise that could be associated with an anxious sigh. "Fine..."

"None of that is my concern," the Lich general stated coldly, leaning back as he counted the seconds. "My only concern is... I'll only be able to tell you this only once, so you pay close attention. Away from your planet, you are a problem. You're a death-sentence to everyone from that planet including yourself. Every time you use your powers, every time you learn something new you're getting one step closer to killing yourself...As long as you're away from Sari and alive at the same time you WILL be a problem. I can't tell you why. It's not my place. I'm just doing as I'm told. ...Kind of. I shouldn't even be telling you this." So he dropped the subject instantly, brooding over the fact that he would turn into nothing but an inanimate sack of bones the moment he'd leave the hemisphere.

Dakkarsis growled, undoing his seat belt, drawing both his blades and stomping out of the space ship to confront the Loonatics.
"I suggest you little pests leave as soon as possible... I wouldn't want to kill you. It's far too troublesome."

"Wha--Wait, you weren't supposed to TELL them!" The General hesitated, not knowing how else to react to the turn of events. He knew that the Loonatics were supposed to be in the way. That was the plan, to make the heroes assume he and the rest of the zombies were the enemy!

"Damn it," Tech growled under his breath. Duck... or Lucifer grinned menacingly at them, "At long last Rita, finally...." his voice trailed off as he softly touched her hair.

Dakkarsis didn't need to be asked. He already took action, swiftly grabbing Duck by the feathers on his head and wrenching him away from Maria, throwing him to the floor and tossing one of his blades so hard that it would impale straight through his leg and into the ground. This was a good way to keep him stuck for the time being.

Duck was gonna be hurting REAL bad.

He then hesitated, gesturing towards Maria. "Get back inside the shuttle. Now."

Tech and Rev immediately ran to Duck. Even if he was being possessed by a spirit, inside was still their teammate, as annoying as he can be at times.

Maria stumbled backwards a little, staring in shock at Duck. Dakkarsis' voice snapped her back to reality.

Just as she was about to obey him, Ace stepped up, gently grabbing the she-coyote's arm and pulling her away from the General. "Not without us." They didn't know enough of the situation to know if he was the good guy or the bad guy, so they were gonna stick with Maria to protect her if needed.

"But Ace! We need to go now!" Maria pulled against the yellow-clad bunny's grip. Unknowingly, she reached out with her free arm, until it touched Dakkarsis's armor.

The Loonatics stared in shock of what happened before them. Ace jumped backwards a little when Dakkarsis picked up Maria.

Lexi was the first to speak. "Why... why do I feel like we just witnessed a corny falling-in-love scene?"

"Because the same thing happened to us when Tech and Cass got together?" Ace suggested, coming to his senses. "Tech, take Rev and Icy with ya and get Duck back to HQ pronto. The rest of ya are with me. We're not letting Maria out of our sight."

Mairi walked about, picking up the mess that had been left earlier that day due to the Lich's army. "I wonder what that mob are up to now." 83

(I thought that Cassidy and the others weren't letting Maria out of their sights and Rev and Tech were taking Duck who's posessed by Lucifer back to HQ... O_o )

(Coz they were still a little beaten up from Lucifer possessing their bodies ^^)

Cassidy spun around and faced Seth, a VERY ticked off expression on her face. "SETH!! Can you at least HELP?" She knew that he didn't have to, and that she wasn't really mad at him, but she couldn't help it. She needed to blow off a little steam or else she'd snap. Seth would understand....... Right?

"You're not the only one." Cassidy muttered under her breath. She was starting to calm down. "Sorry Seth.. I'm just freaking out. I'm worried about Maria. The last time I tried to contact her, right before she cut out, I heard her scream. She got hurt. I don't know why or by who. And if it's that zombie freak then he's gonna have second death." She sat down on the couch beside him, huffing angrily.

Near the end of the story, Mairi was in tears. Cassidy held her arm. "Don't worry, Mazz. Tech knows what to do. He can help Duck. Trust me... he's had experience with similar wounds..." Her free arm lightly brushed over her waistline. She turned to Rev. "So they're taking Maria to Sari?"

Rev nodded. "Yeah she just kinda blacked out!"

"What happened to that zombie jerk?"

"Well.... Maria...sorta.... brought him back to life..." Rev stammered, knowing Cassidy would not like that news.

"What?! But how? Her powers aren't bringing things back to life!"

"I told you! Apparently she has super secret powers and that's the reason why she has to go to Sari now because if she discovers all of them while here then Sari becomes a black hole!"

Seth placed his hand on Cassidy's shoulder. "Settle down, tiger. You're gettin' yourself wound up. By the sounds of it, that zombie wasn't the bad guy. He was only trying to keep Maria and Sari safe."

Cassidy sighed. "I know." Her voice softened. "But I still don't trust him."

Lift-Off. Finally.
It took long enough.

The General remained with his hand pressed against the dashboard, sitting in the seat to right. Apparently, along with Maria's mother, a few of those Loonatics came along as well. The two bunnies, the big guy, the human girl, the white one...
It was a big enough group so that they could actually help out.

So he had put them to work, handing Maria to them and telling them to do assorted things to keep her from swooning again. They all did as he said... except for that stupid male rabbit for something.

Dakkarsis turned his head slightly to glare at the rabbit's shadow as he loomed over the back of the chair.
"What is it?"
"You don seem ta know how to work dis ting too well."
"Bothersome creature... What makes you think that?"
The formerly-undead General watched as Ace leaned in and hit a button. The ship burst into a very high rate of speed. He knew that stupid rabbit was grinning without even looking at him. Oh how he wished killing that rabbit would benefit his mission.

(... xD Leader-types like this always seem to clash really badly when in the same room.)

Lexi eyed off Ace as he backseat drove Dakkarsis towards Sari. Sapphire watched Lexi watch Ace with a knowing smile. Slam watched Sapphire watching Lexi watching Ace and blinked in confusion. Icy looked around the bridge once or twice before sighing and fiddling with her seatbelt. She hoped this wouldn't be a long trip...........

Quick giggled a bit, but said a serious "Just don't vomitar por aquí." she inched away from the human.


Lexi gave a lighthearted smirk as Quick stuck out her tounge, disgusted, while Saph covered her mouth with her hand, holding back.....ugh....who wants to know...


The bunny turned her haed back to her leader, looking him over once more. She wondered how often she did this; watched him quietly, just to enjoy his expressions and movements. Did that make her a creeper? Ugh creepers are so not cool. Wait! was she still staring?


"Uhhh Lex? What's up?" Ace looked strangly at his second-in-command.


"Whaaa-Uh! Umm...uhh I..I just realized...you and Slam are the only guys here now." she reacted quickly, as a light blush threatned to spread across her face. 'Good thing my color is pink', she thought as Ace looked around, suddenly aware.


"Huh. Ya right.....dat's sorta weird", he shrugged, "though I doesn't matta', I hadn't even noticed bafore, as long as da team's keepin togeth'a." he thought about the few hours past.


"Well, for the most part."

Tech held his tounge, though he wanted to shout at Mairi for her complete and utter randomness, claiming it was an interference to their current hasty situation.

Next to him, Rev continued stitching up the mallard's wound as gently, but swiftly, as possible; unfazed by Mazz's doings.

Tech shook his head as he turned back to check Duck's vitals, internally convincing himself that Mairi was not to be messed with at this moment, and that she actually had the right to be there.

....though....still. >_>

Dakkarsis looked back over his shoulder upon hearing the slight commotion, "At least don't throw up on the floor! We just had that polished!" he growled.

The formerly undead General caught sight of their destination on the monitor.
"We're nearly there," he said, standing up and walking to the back of the shuttle where Maria was lying. Systematically, Ace took Dakkarsis' seat just to be sure there was someone actually there to take care of the ship.
